A life-long lover of reading, writing, and grammar, I began my journey into editing accidentally by simply assisting friends and fellow classmates with proofreading while I was an undergraduate student. I discovered that I enjoyed the work and had a knack for it. While pursuing graduate and post-graduate degrees in research- and writing-intensive fields, I began to offer proofreading and editing services as a side business. It soon became clear that some of the students I worked with were eager to improve their writing skills or were unfamiliar with certain types of academic writing. To meet the needs of these students and other clients, I expanded my services to include one-on-one tutoring sessions, during which the client and I work through challenges together. Writing well has been essential in my time as a student, teacher, and researcher, and I love sharing the skills I’ve learned with my editing and tutoring clients.
